Our Journey So Far

CHAOS, GENIUS, AHA-MOMENTS, EXCITING, REVOLUTIONARY, HECTIC. These are just a few of the words our co-founders would use if you asked them to describe RE:INVENT’s journey so far.

Founded in May 2023, it’s only been 4 months but my oh my what an incredibly busy 4 months it has been.

Co-founders Maliha & Bryn have a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to the big old world of e-commerce.

Our CPO Bryn was the founder of Slide Tribe, an e-commerce store changing the face of personalised sports kit as we know it. Together, with his brother, he bootstrapped his business taking it from day zero to successfully acquired, selling over 30,000 customised socks and sliders to big sports clubs like Harlequins, Rangers and Sheffield United and he even ‘slid’ his way onto the feet of big businesses like Google, Redbull & Pokerstars. A global ‘foot’-nomenon Bryn decided he wanted to help other e-commerce stores acquire new customers without relying solely on meta ads; and so he sets his sights on Antler to look for a co-founder.

Meet Maliha, our CEO and resident chief match maker, also founded her very own sustainable packaging startup. Panda Packaging sold customised bamboo straws, cutlery, tupperware and all your daily essentials designed to help both businesses and consumers live a more plastic free lifestyle. Securing VC backing within 6 months of starting the business, Maliha had clients like Virign, Nobu and Abel & Cole under her belt. The team sold over 4 million products worldwide and were early trendsetters, setting the wave of a plastic free movement worldwide. Also ready to start her next venture, Maliha turned to Antler to find her next co-founder.

Antler is an early stage VC that backs founders from day zero to success. It runs a cohort for the duration of 3 months in different countries across the globe. The only way I can describe it is a mixture of Love Island meets The Apprentice. A cohort typically consists of 70 extremely talented people who are all thrown into a room together to ‘fight’ for the best co-founder. Okay, we’re making this sound much more like Gladiator than Love Island but seriously, imagine walking into a room of 70 total strangers and picking one of them to build your next unicorn with - WILD we know. When Maliha & Bryn met, it was an absolute no brainer, with similar backgrounds, interests and love for dangerous sports this dynamic duo just knew from the get go they were going to partner up to shake up the ecommerce industry. And so RE:INVENT was born.

Since May, RE:INVENT has secured VC funding from Antler, launched 5 pilot campaigns, built V1. of our app,  onboarded some serious HOUSEHOLD NAMES (you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled 👀 ).  connected brands, created collaborative email marketing campaigns that have lowered CAC by 71%! We’ve driven over 2k in revenue to brands, grown our team, posted some outrageous content across socials and we’ll be live on Shopify real soon.
